How to make a reservation in the electronic queue reservation system?

  1. Go to the "Reserve" section;
  2. Select the border crossing point;
  3. Select the type of vehicle you will use to cross the border;
  4. Select the time slot during which you plan to cross the border;
  5. Provide information about the vehicle and trailer (if applicable). For cargo vehicles, in the “MRN” section, indicate the MRN number of the goods with the highest proportion in the load;
  6. Enter driver information;
  7. Review the additional information provided;
  8. Confirm the information entered in the reservation;
  9. Complete the reservation payment.

Within what time must the reservation payment be made for it to be registered in the queue?

Reservation payment must be made within 25 minutes after filling out the reservation form. If the user wishes to add an additional reservation and pay for several vehicles, this must be done within the payment window.

Is it possible to reserve more than one place in the queue?

No, only one active reservation can exist per vehicle registration number across all border crossing points. A new place in the queue can only be reserved after the vehicle has crossed the border.

Does the time selected in the reservation guarantee border crossing at a specific time?

No, the reserved time is approximate. If queues form at the border crossing point or the vehicle scheduled before you has not arrived, the border crossing time may change.

Which MRN code should be indicated in the reservation form if I am transporting a consolidated load?

The MRN code with the highest proportion in the cargo must be indicated in the reservation form.

What to do if the information provided in the reservation form cannot be saved?

In a situation where several clients simultaneously select the same time slot in the reservation form, only the first one will be able to save the reservation form and make the payment. For the others, the “Save” button will not work. Please return to the “Selection of time window” step and choose a different border crossing time window.

Is there a fee for making a reservation?

Yes, the reservation is a paid service. The reservation fee is 9.30 EURO, including VAT, in accordance with Paragraph 23 of the regulations of the electronic queue reservation system for crossing the external land border by vehicles.

How can a reservation be modified?

Reservation changes can be made in the reservation summary by clicking the “Edit reservation” button. The reservation summary is sent to the email address provided in the reservation form.

Which data can be changed after the reservation has been paid for?

You can edit the following data after payment: reservation date and time, driver's data (name(s), last name(s), birth date, citizenship, document type, document expirity, document number, country of issue), and contact information.

Which data cannot be changed after the reservation has been paid for?

You cannot change: the border crossing point and vehicle data (vehicle type, vehicle license plate number, vehicle registration country, trailer license plate number, trailer country of registration, vehicle make).

How many times is it allowed to correct the data specified in the reservation?

The reservation data can be corrected once.

When is it no longer possible to modify a reservation?

It is not possible to modify a reservation if less than three hours remain until the reserved time slot, or if the reservation has already been edited once.

Is it allowed to go to the border crossing point barrier during the reserved time window?

The selected time window is an approximate border crossing time, therefore you are allowed to proceed to the border crossing point only after receiving the invitation SMS.

What actions must be taken if a reservation with priority status has been made?

Before entering the border crossing point, confirmation of priority status must be obtained by presenting the MRN number and cargo documents to the customs officials. The confirmation must be obtained when there are less than two hours remaining until the start of the reserved time, but no later than 20 minutes before.

How long before the reserved time must I be near the border crossing point?

Please arrive at the border crossing point 2 hours before the start of the reserved time.

How do I know when I can proceed to border control?

You may go to the border crossing point only after receiving the invitation SMS to proceed to control checks.

What happens if I miss the time slot selected in my reservation?

If you do not arrive during the reserved hour, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

In which cases can a reservation be cancelled?

The State Border Guard and the Customs Board of the State Revenue Service may cancel the reservation (without refunding the reservation fee) if false or incorrect information is provided in the reservation details or if the cargo does not meet the conditions for priority cargo.

In which cases is the reservation fee refunded?

If the electronic queue reservation system is technically disrupted to such an extent that the service could not be used, or if the border crossing point was closed at the reserved time, a refund may be requested.

How can I reclaim the reservation fee?

To receive a refund of the reservation fee, within 30 calendar days after the scheduled border crossing time slot, the person who made the reservation must fill in the required information in the application form and send it to the system controller by email at: border@atd.lv

Can I reserve a place in the queue for crossing the border from the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus into the Republic of Latvia?

No. The ERRS system is only available for exiting the Republic of Latvia.
